Recycling and Collection Site

The Town of Rhine Collection Site is located at W6426 Cty Road EH,
just east of State Highway 67

8:00AM TO 4:00pm Saturdays
THE SITE IS NOT OPEN TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC AT OTHER TIMES.

THOSE FOUND DUMPING AT TIMES OTHER THAN THOSE POSTED ARE SUBJECT TO FINES.


ITEMS ACCEPTED AT THE MAINTENANCE SITE

  • Bagged co-mingled recyclable materials including glass, plastic, aluminum and steel containers (must be rinsed and caps removed)
  • Clear bagged household garbage
  • Bundled newspapers - not in plastic bags
  • Bundled magazines - not in plastic bags
  • Bundled chipboard - not in plastic bags
  • Flattened cardboard
  • Ashes (in small quantities). Ashes from burning barrels cannot be accepted due to the possibility of hazardous materials
  • Branches or brush
  • Leaves
  • Small amounts of wood and lumber
  • Ranges, water heaters and other METAL - must be disposed of in proper dumpster
  • Tires ($3 per car tire, $6 per truck tire, $10 per tractor tire) will be charged.
  • Freezers and refrigerators and dehumidifiers
  • Computers, hard-drives, monitors, and cell phones (there is a charge for these items)

ITEMS NOT ACCEPTED AT THE MAINTENANCE SITE

  • Acids and bases, oil paint and related products
  • Aerosols
  • Animal carcasses
  • Batteries
  • Tree & bush stumps and roots
  • Concrete, demolition materials from remodeling, renovation, razing projects
  • Fluorescent light bulbs and fixtures
  • Dishwashers, air conditioners, microwaves
  • Household hazardous waste
  • Indoor or outdoor furniture
  • Lawn and garden pesticides
  • Lumber, treated, painted or from remodeling projects
  • Mattresses, box springs, furniture, rugs, carpeting, padding
  • Old gasoline or gas cans
  • Paint (other than latex- see above) and related products
  • Poisons, solvents & cleaners, thinners & varnishes
  • Refuse from commercial and/or industrial sites
  • Toilets, fiberglass or plastic sinks, tubs or washbasins
  • Televisions
